Paul Smith

Those heroes. Everyone has at least a few. The ones who know me, know mine is Paul Smith. Because I believe his story. And because he and his team make fantastic things. And because I’m a man, and he – happy me – focuses on men.

Leaving school at age 15, he’s not the academic fashion designer (‘designer’ being a word he wanted to associate with only a late stage of his career – a remarkable fact about his brand as such). Yesterday I saw  “Paul Smith, Gentleman Designer” on Acht(.tv), and I’m even more impressed about his life story: from Nottingham to a world-wide success.

The way he’s the centre of his brand is really unique. PS constantly seeks inspiration, ideas and new details, shoots even the newest collection pictures, collaborates with an 180 people team, effortlessly combines entrepreneurship with designing, focuses on the strengths of communication and puts the customer in the focus at all times.

It’s a pleasure shopping at Paul Smith, and next to buying that one perfect fit and perfect made item, you feel unique for a couple of minutes. It’s these details that really make the difference. Service, quality and innovation and at the same time being very accessible, that’s what it’s all about at the PS experience. Combined with the unique person PS is, the British roots (without being cliché) that all makes the brand Paul Smith ’s today’s success.

Man, I’m a fan!
