Object Préféré

27 April 2012

That collaborating, sharing ideas, and getting out of your comfort zone delivers results, was made clear by “Object Préféré”, an expo in Milan (earlier at Valerie Traan) where Fabrica (the Italian communication & research centre of the Benneton Group) and the Belgian Grand-Hornu Images showed 15 unique furniture items.

These items are the output of a workshop of young Fabrica designers, alongside with co-workers (technicians, craftsmen, but also clerks) of Grand-Hornu Images.

Asking “What is your favourite object” the team met practical items (like computers) up to sentimental ones (baby shoes) and eventually made these 15 furniture items. Challenging designs and perfect craftsmanship : it came to a perfect match.

In short: a creative group looking at people’s “favourite objects’ can take many turns, and ‘Objet Préféré’s chosen track was great to see.
